Fases de la luna 5/11/12

Ayer  hisimos  las  fases de la luna con platos y  la  luna la hicimos  con  galletas  oreo, escribimos  los nombres  de  la  luna  en  el  plato. los cuatros  nombres  de la luna son nueva , cresiente ,llena,menguante.Los oyos de la luna no se llaman oyos son cráteres se llama asi por que  los meteoros se estrellaron  con la luna,la luna tarda 29 dias en  darle la  buelta al mundo.

Earth day May 1st, 2012

we celebrated Earth day on April 22nd with recycling and we made a book, we draw the earth, put our names and we wrote how we can save the earth, we learned about natural resources and we talked about it.

Lo que hicimos el fin de semana 4/30/12

Karla , Jonathan ,Mis.Cruz  corierron   1 milla en running  for  the  arts .Comieron  raspas   y  jugaron   un  juego    que  te  amaran  una  botella  en   tu   zapato  y  tu  lo aguantas con  un hilo.saltaron  con las cuerdas    para  saltar.               SE  DIVIRTIERON   MUCHO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

pájaros 4/27/12

nosotros  investigamos cosas del  animal que  agarramos .hicimos el trading card.hicimos el prezi con los nidos. estudiamos de lo pájaros. hicimos los nidos. con pasto y hojas secas y con palos.  por:jonathan,karla.

Como los animales aguantan el frio?

We did  a  Experiment  abut how  the  animals  keep  warm  in  the  Artic. We put our hands on 2 different bags  one  had  crisco  the  other  one  did not have anything.there  was  a  container with ice.we used  termometros to know the temperature.The bag that did not have  anything  was colder.The animals like pinguins,whales keep them  selves with their  skin.

Science Project 4-17-12

First we read books about birds, what kind of feet they had. We wrote the information about the birds, then we were ready to start building the nests. With sticks, grass, glue, we went outside to get the things we needed for our nest, and we decorated it. Then, we did a BIRD, with clay.
Now, every group is going to present their bird and their nest.

El dia de pascua 4/9/12

Maria dijo que el domingo fué al parque a esconder huevos en el parque con su mama, y sus hermanos y su tia.
Karla dijo que fué al parque del oso con sus amigas, agarró huevos con confetti y se lo echo a los adultos, fué a ver a los animales, uno de los amigos agarró una serpiente, fueron al parque y al río donde agarraron la serpiente.
Bryan dijo que fue a la casa de su tía a agarrar huevos algunos tenían dulces y otros tenían confetti, reventaron todos los huevos.
Jassiria fué a la casa de su tía a comer y luego buscaron huevos y tiraron dulces.

En general toda la clase la pasó muy bien. Esta mañana cuando llegaron se llevaron la sorpresa que el Conejo de pascua vino y les dejo unos huevos en su escritorio.

Ahora estamos listos para la semana!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hoy tenemos que practicar cuales son las reglas del salón. Tenemos que practicar porque cuando la maestra habla todos hablamos, no levantamos la mano, todos hablamos al mismo tiempo y todos queremos hablar al mismo tiempo. El único que levanta la mano es Bryan y espera que la maestra lo llame para hablar. Otra regla que siempre se nos olvida es que cuando Mrs. Cruz esta hablando con otra maestra siempre la interrumpimos y no podemos esperar.

Las   reglas   son   importantes    porque     la   regla    de  la   fila   cuando  caminas    y   miras  a  otro  lado    te    vas   a  otro  lado   y  te   pierdes    y   te  tienes    que   quedarte  en   donde   estas    para   que  la  maestra   o  maestro  te  llebe  a  donde  estabas,   tambien tenemos que levantar la mano para no tener dolor de   cabeza como en la clase a Mrs.Cruz  le duele   porque  hablamos   .

Con el Twitter lo que hacemos es puedes escribir:  preguntas, lo que estás pensando, contestar las preguntas de alguien, como te sientes.

También hicimos experimentos en matemáticas sobre capacidad. Cuantas tazas tiene un gallón? tiene 16 tazas, Cuantos cuartos de gallón hay en un gallón? hay 8 cuartos de gallón   y Cuantas pintas hay en un gallón? hay 4 pintas en un gallón. 

Utlizamos arroz de plástico para medir el gallón. 

STAAR test for our friends in 4th grade

Last Thursday we gave Mrs. Batres's class a water bottle and a bag of cookies with a card that said "I think that you are a smart cookie". On Friday we gave them gummy bears because, we are bears and we said "Show your BEAR power"
On Monday we gave them Skitttles to "Show your SKILLS" and Starburts because we think that they are STARS.


We hope that they pass the test, DO YOUR BEST!!!!!!!!!!!

Spring Break and a little more 3-20-12

We had a week of vacation, some of us went to Galveston, to the rodeo - carnival, San Antonio,  some of us stay home. We all had a LOT OF FUN!!!!!!!

Yesterday, after we had sort all the marshmallows by shape from the Lucky charms project, we made a graph, to show which charm had the most and which charm had the least.

Dr. Seuss Parades

El viernes hicimos los gorros de "Cat in the Hat" con papel y con dulce. Luego hicimos un desfile alrededor de la biblioteca todos los salones desde pre-kinder hasta 2nd grado, y las clases de 3ero hasta 5to nos estaban viendo.
Los sombreros con dulces los hicimos con:
Galletas oreo, gomitas rojas y crema blanca de tortas. Primero separamos la galleta en dos, le pusimos crema para que sostuviera una gomita, y continuamos colocando la crema como "pegamento" entre las gomitas mientras las poniamos en una torre, para que pareciera el sombrero de "Cat in the Hat".

Leimos muchos libros de Dr. Seuss, celebramos su cumpleaños de la mejor manera posible........LEYENDO

Una semana muy ocupada 2/27/12

Esta semana estaremos muy ocupados: tendremos venta de libros, concurso de afiches para la noche de biblioteca, el cumpleaños de Dr. Seuss y el desfile de Dr. Seuss, además de tener que practicar para nuestro museo de cera.

Ojala nos de tiempo de terminar TODITO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

President's day is the third Monday of February. We celebrate the birthday of President Lincoln and George Washington. President Lincoln's was born  February  12th and George Washington was born February 22th

We are doing a project call "pennies for the planet". The Extraordinary Result that we would like to collect is: $248.   We know that we NEED an extraordinary effort    we are working a lot:recycling plastic bottles and aluminum cans, collecting pennies. We are going to sell the bottles and the cans. 


We are planning on going to other schools to ask them if they are recycling, if they are not maybe they can keep the bottles and cans for us.
